GOL has a robust carbon offset program, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability. However, the progression of global warming has become increasingly concerning. When we consider civil aviation, the warming of the Earth poses a significant challenge. Rising temperatures directly affect aircraft engine efficiency, causing them to consume more fuel and impacting the weight required for planes to stay airborne.

Additionally, extreme weather events, which are becoming more frequent due to global warming, significantly disrupt flight routes and airport maintenance operations, creating further obstacles for the aviation industry.

The campaign "Machines of Time" envisions an extreme scenario set centuries in the future. In this scenario, we follow a wanderer traveling across an Earth devastated by global warming. Along his journey, he encounters abandoned airports and airplanes—relics of an era when aviation was still viable. The story is told through pages of the traveler’s diary, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in this dystopian future and reflect on the consequences of our present actions.

This campaign is extremely important for raising awareness among our customers about the responsibility to repair the damage we have caused to the planet before it’s too late. In this futuristic scenario, aviation is no longer viable, and by showing that the very service we provide could collapse in the future, GOL takes a bold and provocative stance. This is not just about warning but about inspiring action and change, emphasizing the urgency of adopting more sustainable practices today to ensure a better tomorrow.
